Legends of Tomorrow
Sneak Peek 2
Whatever the Legends decide, and therefore however the Lance sisters are reunited, Lotz teases that seeing Laurel again will give Sara a sense of closure. “I don’t want to give anything away, but I don’t want to also toy with the fans’ emotions,” Lotz says. “It’s not like a full coming back, but it is a really lovely appearance, and I think people will like it a lot.” Even if Laurel doesn’t make a full comeback, Cassidy will still play a big role in the Arrow-verse next season when the actress returns as a series regular on Arrow — the Black Siren!
SEASON FINALE — As the Legends are about to take off for their next destination, a massive timequake rocks the ship. In order to try and fix what has happened, they are forced to break the one cardinal rule of time travel. But if they are able to destroy the spear, they will face the ultimate consequence. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#217). Original airdate 4/4/2017.
True, Felicity is still very much alive in the world of Arrow. But how did she come to be a suited superhero in this reality? “One of the things that we — when we start breaking an episode — try to figure out is what we call the cold open,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim explains. “What’s the opening scene, what’s the thing that takes you to the title card? We’d worked out that Sara and Amaya were working basically as Darhk’s henchmen, and the writing staff had a pitch that they would be chasing a superhero, bringing them to Darhk and killing the superhero.”
“We all recognized, ‘Well, who are we going to use from our Arrowverse?'” Guggenheim continues. “It’s always nice when you can pull in a character from one of the other shows. We talked about a lot of different ideas, and I said, ‘Since this is an alternate reality and we’ll probably never have the opportunity to do so again, I think it would be fun if we did Felicity as a superhero,’ because I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I have zero intention of ever putting Felicity in a mask and costume on Arrow. So this is really the only circumstance by which we could do it.”
