Greg (Santino Fontana) grapples with his feelings for Rebecca, while Darryl (Pete Gardner) and White Josh (guest star David Hull) continue to explore their newfound feelings for one another. Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) have broken up over the baby issue, but they are still acting like a couple, something Jane sees as a problem. Hosted again by George Lopez, the ceremony will spotlight pups who have achieved fame in the world of entertainment and on social media, as well as everyday dogs who have made an impact on the lives of their human companions. Categories include Best in Film, Top TV Dog, Supporting Actor to a Dog and Dog of the Year. PIRATE ATTACK – After receiving a distress call from another timeship stranded in space, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides to answer the call in order to use the other ship’s computer to track Savage (guest star Casper Crump). The team is suspicious and warns him this could be a trap but he moves forward with his plan. Ultimately, the team was right and they have to battle time pirates. With most of the team captured, it is up to Professor Stein (Victor Garber) to rescue them all. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Anderson Mackenzie & Phil Klemmer (#107). A WORLD WITHOUT DAMON SALVATORE — While Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) search for a magical herb that can keep him hidden from Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) comes up with his own plan to take her down for good. However, while at The Armory, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a shocking discovery about Rayna that brings Damon’s plan to a screeching halt. Elsewhere, a conversation with Caroline (Candice King) leaves Stefan questioning their future together, while Matt (Zach Roerig) decides it may be time to truly take a stand against the vampires of Mystic Falls. Finally, as the season’s middle chapter draws to a close, Damon’s desire to take himself out of the game ramps up as he races to complete unfinished business with Stefan and Bonnie. Meanwhile, when Cortez begins threatening the lives of innocent residents, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) has no choice but to help the vengeful vampire in his plan to take down Klaus. Elsewhere, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) turns to Davina (Danielle Campbell) for her help after several Strix members turn up missing, and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) confronts Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) after learning that she’s been dealing with Jackson’s death in a destructive way.
